Yes, if used both internally and externally the results would be maximised, if just treating externally some internal heat would be lost into the fabric of the building. If using ZENOVA IP internally alongside the render this would prevent the heat loss into the fabric and also help to prevent any mould issues.
There would still be improvements using either as a stand-alone system but for maximised results both systems can be used together.
Yes, ZENOVA FP fire protection paint is perfectly suited to improve the fire safety in new buildings.
With ZENOVA FP fire protection paint able to be applied to any surface, and available in a range of colours and tints, fire safety can be dramatically improved in new buildings by painting potentially flammable surfaces. This is especially useful in communal areas, hallways and routes people would use to exit a building in an emergency.
When ZENOVA FP fire protection paint comes into contact with an intense heat source (e.g. flames) the paint reacts and transforms into what looks like a black foam. This foam will not burn and acts as a thermal insulation layer between the heat source and whatever substrate ZENOVA FP fire protection paint is applied to. The foam greatly slows the heat transfer to the substrate and, therefore, ZENOVA FP fire protection paint helps prevents surfaces igniting and the spread of fire.

This foam will not burn and acts as a thermal insulation layer between the heat source and whatever substrate ZENOVA FP fire protection paint is applied to.
The foam greatly slows the heat from transferring to the substrate and, therefore, prevents it from catching fire easily and reduces a fire’s ability to spread.
Once a surface has been correctly prepared, including the application of ZENOVA Primer, ZENOVA FP fire protection paint should be applied at a wet thickness of 1.3mm in order to achieve BS EN 13501-1:B protection and protect a variety of substrates and products including wood, metal, polyurethane foam, and GRP phenolic foam filled fire doors from fire damage should a fire occur within a building.
ZENOVA FP fire protection paint can be applied by brush, roller, or airless sprayer, but for best results, we do recommend that ZENOVA FP fire protection paint is applied by a professional contractor using an airless spray gun.
Application by airless spray gun allows the recommended application thickness to be achieved with thin layers of the paint, rather than one or two thicker coats. This ensures a more even application of ZENOVA FP fire protection paint, helps avoid gaps in the paint which can affect its performance and safety, and provides a more attractive final finish.

Whilst cavity wall insulation is widely installed in properties with cavity walls to improve insulation, the thermal efficiency of a property depends on the quality and quantity of the insulation used. Whilst cavity walls started to become common place in buildings constructed in the UK from the 1920s, some of the cavities between the external and internal walls of older buildings are not sufficiently wide to accommodate a thick enough layer of cavity wall insulation for the property to be adequately insulated.
Whether you have cavity wall insulation or not, applying ZENOVA IR thermal insulation render to internal and external walls provides excellent additional insulation to a property.
ZENOVA IR thermal insulation render can be used to insulate your house by applying it to brick, concrete, plaster board and wooden exterior or interior walls and is applied in the same way as other renders.
To achieve best results, we would recommend applying ZENOVA IR thermal insulation render to all external and internal walls.
Yes, ZENOVA IP thermal insulation paint is perfectly suited to improve the insulation of buildings without cavity walls. The insulation of buildings without cavity walls can be difficult and expensive, and the solution has tended to be either to not insulate them, or to add insulation panels to internal or external walls, which is impossible or impractical in many cases. In addition, insulating in this way can be hugely disruptive, reduce available space within a property, can be time consuming, and expensive.
ZENOVA IP thermal insulation paint is well suited to improve the insulation of properties without cavity walls as it can be applied to internal walls as part of redecoration to stop heat escaping through the walls.
With properties without cavity walls also being more susceptible to dampness due to the method of their construction, the anti-condensation and anti-mould qualities that are at the core of ZENOVA IP thermal insulation paint will also reduce damp, mould, and condensation issues.
Yes, ZENOVA IP thermal insulation paint is perfectly suited to improve the insulation of buildings with solid walls. The insulation of buildings with solid walls can be considerably more difficult and expensive than more modern buildings, and most buildings constructed before the 1920s fall into this group.
